About Josh Cook
Born and raised in Iowa City so the Hawkeyes are the hometown team; however, I split my loyalties with the University of Wisconsin, my alma mater. How this works is pretty easy. I root for Iowa football above all else. Wisconsin hoops thanks to Bo Ryan's great coaching trumps Iowa. Iowa doesn't have a hockey team so the Badgers get the edge there. Outside Iowa wrestling, there really isn't any other sport I care about for either school. Sorry, tennis.

The final conference preview takes us to the home of the mighty Zags, the West Coast Conference power. That said, Saint Mary’s didn’t have much trouble taking the WCC title from them last year. Also in this preview, some thoughts for those pesky one-bid leagues that love to ruin a team’s Dance (i.e. Duke and Mizzou last spring).
The Missouri Valley and the Mountain West … big time gulp for power leagues. They are stacked top to bottom and with a player of the year candidate at Creighton and a freshman of the year candidate at UNLV. Great, great leagues.
Our next preview heads to the nation’s strongest (and fastest growing) league, the not-so-much-any-longer Midwest’s own Big Ten. We know IU, Michigan, Sparty and OSU are strong but click here to see which schools are improving and will keep the fire to the feet of those fantastic four. Say that five times fast!
The first preview of the non-football leagues heads to the Atlantic 10. In my humble opinion, this is a power league. It is as good, if not better, than the Pac 12 and is as deep as the SEC or ACC.
Two leagues that are used to multiple bids are going through transitions. The Colonial will try to get through life without VCU while C-USA has some teams with hot starts and Memphis isn’t one of them.
The ACC is shaping up to be much deeper than recent years. One constant though … Duke is really, really good. Find out who has the best shot to join the Blue Devils in the dance.
After stops in the SEC, Big East and Big 12, it is time for the conference previews to hit the wild west. The Pac 12 was wide open a year ago and looks to be the same this year.
The preview train hits the Big 12. Find out who (other than Kansas) should be excited this winter. Hint: Baylor’s 7’1″ freshman will be a factor.
