Gamedayr to host UF v. LSU gameday fundraiser with the Florida Players Network

GAINESVILLE, FLA—Collegiate sports website Gamedayr will be kicking off the UF v. LSU football game with a gameday fundraiser at 101 Cantina in Gainesville.

The fundraiser, which runs from 11 a.m. to game time at 3:30 p.m. on October 6, will be a collaborative event between Gamedayr and the Florida Players Network. The Florida Players Network is a nonprofit organization which provides former University of Florida football players with the opportunity to network with and give back to the Gainesville community, as well as provide assistance to other former athletes in need.

The Florida Players Network is aiming to raise awareness of the foundation at the event, as well as raise money through sponsorships to support the network and its community service efforts. All Gator fans are welcome to purchase a ticket for $75 to attend the fundraiser, which will include live music, a place to tailgate in a sectioned-off area, free giveaways, and an opportunity to take pictures with former UF football players such as Chris Doering and A.J. Jones.

Profits will be donated to the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation, a nonprofit organization that was founded after 3-year-old Sebastian Ferrero passed away at Shands Hospital in 2007 as a result of a medication overdose and preventable medical errors. The proceeds will be used to help the foundation achieve its goal of establishing a state-of-the-art children’s hospital in Gainesville, all while promoting patient safety and compassionate treatment.

Located in the Florida Innovation Hub at UF, Gamedayr is an absolute culture brand for college sports built on the passion surrounding gameday. The community includes athletes, fans, media, coaches, trainers and individuals involved with the activities of a sporting event. For further event information, please contact Emily Culclasure at 813-431-7826 or at millie101@ufl.edu.
