
When you have 14 national championships, according to Alabama’s count, I guess you can claim what you want. Alabama’s athletic department recently released the 2012 Media Guide for the upcoming football season, and according to last year’s schedule, the Crimson Tide went 13-0.
The Game of the Century Part I, played at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on November 5, was won by LSU 9-6. Maybe, just maybe, Alabama figured that the trouncing they did of the Tigers in the BCS championship game warranted a reversal of the first game’s score.
Further examination of this image shows that, in fact, Alabama has no clue what last year’s record was. All they know is that they lifted another national championship trophy over their head.
