You know that old saying, “the house always wins.” Well if you believe in that, Johnny Manziel is your shoe-in-bet to win the Heisman. According to many online sports books and Vegas odds makers, Johnny Manziel will be the first freshmen to win the coveted Heisman Trophy.

Bovada.lv, a very large and popular online sportsbook, has laid their Heisman bet on Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. With overwhelming 1/6 odds, Manziel is the landslide favorite to take home the Trophy. These odds are based off of data gathered by odds makers through media coverage and statistical history of all the past Heisman winners. With odds this high, it’s hard to think Johnny Football won’t be bringing home the hardware.

For all you non-gamblers out there, taking Manziel is actually not a great bet as far as return on your money goes. You would have to bet $600 just to win $100. Here are the top four candidates according to Bovada.lv odds:

  • Johnny Manziel (1/6)
  • Manti Te’o (7/2)
  • Collin Klein (15/2)
  • Braxton Miller (Ohio State) 40/1
