The Tide just keeps on rollin’ in Tuscaloosa. After taking home three of the nation’s four previous BCS national championships, just about every high school star in the nation wants their own shot at adding to the legacy of the Red Elephants.
Coach Nick Saban received letters of intent from another 25 prep superstars on Wednesday, National Signing Day. For the fifth time in the last six years, his recruiting class has been ranked at the top of every site out there: ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports, to name a few.
The average school in the top 40 of the recruiting rankings would have 23 recruits, with four of them being in the ESPN150, and seven in the ESPN300.
Of the Crimson Tide’s 25, 14 of them are in the ESPN150 and 18 are among the ESPN300. Saban brings aboard four absolute studs in DE Jonathan Allen, LB Reuben Foster, TE O.J. Howard and DT A’Shawn Robinson. Robinson was a late signee on Wednesday, bumping the class up to the top of the nation — a place the entire Crimson Tide coaching staff and fan base has grown accustomed to.
So, what do you think? Are you impressed by Saban’s haul, or do you think he and his staff could have done even better?
It’s time to have your voice heard, Bama Nation, and give your program’s recruiting class a grade.
