March Madness is upon us, ladies and gentlemen, and with it arrives the last Big East championship tournament as we have come to know it.
After this season, the ‘Catholic 7′ is breaking off and taking the Big East name right along with it. Syracuse and Pitt are both headed to the ACC and Notre Dame and Louisville both are not far behind. Rutgers is headed to the Big Ten in 2014 and the three remaining schools (UConn, Cincy and South Florida) are joining with an entire new group to form what may be called the ‘America 12′.
So, basically, take in this bracket — it is literally the very last time it will ever look anything like this.
Oh yeah, and enjoy some spectacular basketball, too.
