2013 Florida Gymnastics: LSU defeats the Gators in their first 2013 SEC matchup
The Tigers defeated the Lady Gators on Friday night at LSU with combined scores of 196.875 and 196.575.
The Gators led the LSU Tigers on bars and vault in rotations one and two with scores of 49.250 to 49.175 on bars. Florida sophomore Kytra Hunter had the high score on bars of 9.900. Florida also outshined LSU on vault with a score of 49.375 to the Tigers’ 49.300. Hunter led the pack on vault with an impressive score of 9.950, winning the all-around event title.
The Tigers responded in rotations three and four by defeating the Gators on beam and floor. LSU scored 49.325 on floor against Florida’s 49.175, and the Tigers scored 49.075 on beam compared to the Gators’ 48.775.
The girls will compete against Missouri this Friday, Jan. 18 at Florida. The game will air on SUN Sports on Jan. 27 at 10:30 a.m.
