Challenge the G.O.A.T. at your own risk. (Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports)
Sunday not only marks the 2013 NBA All-Star game, but also Michael Jordan’s 50th birthday. Fitting how the NBA planned that one, isn’t it?
Sports Illustrated recently unveiled their cover honoring MJ’s birthday, the 50th edition of Sports Illustrated in which Jordan has graced the cover.
With his greatness comes the constant debate of Jordan vs. the World. In order to throw a twist on the debate, The Basketball Jones set out to ask this year’s All-Stars what they could be the G.O.A.T. in.
Our personal favorite goes to the Red Mamba, aka the Stache Attack, Mr. Matt Bonner. Bonner is sold on his skills as a Cribbage player, stating “I’m a nasty Cribbage player.”
Forget the Lebron vs. Jordan debate, it’s time for the Bonner vs. Jordan debate. Judging from this 3-point contest in 1990 and Bonner’s 2013 3-point contest showing, the Red Mamba might have the G.O.A.T. in more than just Cribbage.
With their loss to the Pacers, many are claiming the 2012-13 season as a failure for the Knicks. A closer look shows that the team actually overachieved. This squad did something not seen in New York since before Y2K.
