PJ Hairston was having a spectacular game against Boston College, scoring 14 points in only 12 minutes and hitting all four of his three-point attempts.
However, while attempting to block a shot, Hairston collided mid-air with teammate Dexter Strickland. Hairston then landed hard on the floor and directly onto his head. The trainers were immediately onto him, but after he failed to get up under his own power, he was placed onto a stretcher and carted to the hospital.
“It was scary,” UNC freshman point guard Marcus Paige said, per The News & Observer. “Because I thought he’d be all right, and then he kind of did the little stumble.”
Everyone here at Gamedayr is hoping for a swift and full recovery for Hairston.
