According to Scout.com, Derrick Green is the nation’s top-rated running back recruit. This gem of a football player has still yet to make himself the crown jewel of any school’s 2013 recruiting class.
However, as Sam Webb of GoBlueWolverine.com first reported, via The Detroit News, prospective football programs will not have to wait very much longer.
The 6-foot, 215-pound Richmond, Va. native will be announcing his decision on Saturday, Jan. 26. He currently has offers on the table from Michigan, Auburn, Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia, USC and Oregon, among several others. However, Green has stated that Michigan is currently the frontrunner for this star’s services.
“Michigan, they’re still the leader,” Green told Webb last week.
On Saturday, the college football world will either watch Green don a Go Blue hat, or will be surprised with his pick of one of the dozens of other schools in the running for this young man’s choice.
