With the recent raise Kevin Sumlin received from Texas A&M, we figured it was time to take a look at how each of the SEC coach’s salaries stack up against their competition.

There are now eight members of the $3 million club and no coach in the league makes less than $2 million per year.

Georgia is currently getting a steal for market value with Mark Richt.

Despite the fact that Will Muschamp has only been in Gainesville for two years, the Gators are also getting a steal relative to the cash they could fork out for a coach. Another season like 2012, however, and Muschamp will be sitting right at the top of this list with Saban, Miles and Spurrier.

Head Coach School Salary
Nick Saban Alabama $5.3 million
Les Miles LSU $4.3 million
Steve Spurrier South Carolina $3.6 million
Bret Bielema Arkansas $3.2 million
Kevin Sumlin Texas A&M $3.1 million
James Franklin Vanderbilt $3.0 million*
Butch Jones Tennessee $3.0 million
Mark Richt Georgia $3.2 million
Gary Pinkel Missouri $2.75 million
Dan Mullen Mississippi State $2.6 million
Will Muschamp Florida $2.75 million
Gus Malzahn Auburn $2.3 million
Mark Stoops Kentucky $2.2 million
Hugh Freeze Ole Miss $2.0 million

*Vanderbilt is not required to release salary figures as a private institution, however reports are that his new is in excess of $3 million per year.
