BCS narrows decision for 2015 championship game
With the new era of the playoff format BCS approaching in only 28 months, the commissioners are trying to move forward as quickly as possible to choose a site for the 2015 national championship.
Only six cities will be considered to host the inaugural BCS championship game, including: the original BCS cities of Glendale, Miami, New Orleans and Pasadena, as well as Arlington (TX) and Atlanta. The decision will be announced in early 2014.
In the future, the BCS committe will choose a host city the same way the NFL chooses the site for the Superbowl. Other cities that will be considered down the road are Detriot, St. Louis, Orlando (FL), Houston, San Diego, Jacksonville (FL) and Tampa.
