Bill Walton with Ray Lewis limo and Bill Simmons jokes, because he’s Bill Freakin’ Walton

Have you ever taken in a game being commented by Bill Walton? If you haven’t, do yourself a favor and tune in to one some time. But must we warn you, prepare to have your mind blown.

There’s a legit possibility that Walton sneaks off under the bleachers during commercial breaks to “light one up.”

That’s really the only explanation we can give it.

Walton is currently working the Pac 12 Tournament in Las Vegas for ESPN and on Thursday night, during the Washington vs Oregon game, fans were treated to a treat.

Coming out of a commercial break, the cameras were set upon a limo unloading Pac 12 mascots and cheerleaders. That’s when Walton stepped in, in all of his glory, and dropped a joke regarding new ESPN NFL analyst Ray Lewis in what we can only imagine is a reference to Lewis’ limo history.

Yes, he went there, and here’s the video to prove it.

Don’t worry, last night got even better. Walton most assuredly snuck off to the bleachers before this second zinger on ESPN analyst Bill Simmons, who was recently suspended from Twitter for his remarks on the Richard Sherman vs Skip Bayless fail.

Luckily for us, the fine folks at Awful Announcing put together some of the best Walton lines from the night:

“Fans beyond description, dancing angels of mercy, what more could you ask for. It’s all happening.”

Dave Pasch says working with Walton this weekend will age him 8 years. Walton: “Your wife’s been calling me.”

Pasch: “How much of that is instinctual as a shot blocker, how much of it is teaching?”
Walton: “100 percent of both.”

“Lorenzo Romar just pulling his hair out!” (Romar is bald)

Walton on Arsalan Kazemi, “His parents own a candy factory four hours south of Tehran, oh my gosh how sweet it is.”

“Both teams riding quasars all the way to the top of the mountain and the promised land.”

Walton: “So many things here have defied rational thought.”
Pasch: “You’re not kidding.”

It’ll be fun to see the punishment handed down from ESPN’s corporate offices. Nowadays it seems like ESPN employees are getting suspended from bashing on other ESPN employees. Classic.

Our bet is that Walton “lights another one up” and goes on about his merry way like nothing every happened.
