Report: Brian Kelly not on the Chicago Bears coaching list

On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Brian Kelly had interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles. The coach of Notre Dame seemingly ready to bolt South Bend as fast as Alabama ended the 2103 BCS National title game. Either that, or he’s just looking to get more money out of the Fighting Irish brass.

With the news that he could potentially be jumping to the NFL, several more reports surfaced that Kelly was on the Chicago Bear’s short list.

Sean Jensen, a Bears/ NFL columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, quickly put those rumors to rest:

To to be clear: Brian Kelly will not be the #Bears next head coach. More than a dozen candidates, Fighting Irish coach not among them.
