Cam Newton brings donuts to class for Auburn students, D-Squared donuts

For many college students around the country, it’s just another boring Thursday of classes. For students at Auburn University, however, their Thursday of classes are filled with donuts, orange juice, and Cam Newton.

Newton is currently on campus this spring to finish his degree, and although he may have millions of dollars and bodyguards following him around, he has fit in quite nicely with the student body.

From leading cheers at Auburn basketball games to receiving serenades on Valentine’s Day from coeds, Newton is the BMOC.

These aren’t just any old donuts, either. No, these are D-Squared donuts, a local Auburn favorite.

According to The War Eagle Reader, students were very pumped for the donuts and Cam Newton. The real question is, however, which were they more pumped for, the donuts or Newton?

“He just said since it was Thursday he though he’d bring us some donuts so I guess there was no particular reason,” says Auburn junion Brookelyne Harvel, who snapped a photo of donut party. “He was really nice about it… Everyone in the class was grateful and thankful. Everyone told him thank you. The professor was really nice about him bringing them to class. He didn’t have a problem with it at all. Cam said that the professor could have some too if he wanted.”

“People were honestly shocked and a few people didn’t notice it was him at first. A bunch of people were freaking out about it once he left,” says sophomore Lindsay Klocko.

We have to go with Newton, there’s no way a bunch of free donuts would have every made this a story in the first place.

Kudos to Cam for being a team player.
