Show Strong the money! After turning down historical powerhouse Tennessee, it was assumed that Louisville was prepared to make head coach Charlie Strong a very rich man. Rich may just be an understatement, however, as Strong’s new deal is worth $3.7 million annually, according to ESPN.

That’s SEC-type money, just ask the Volunteers, who reportedly offered Strong $3.5 million annually to resurrect their embattled program.

Strong is coming off of a 33-23 victory over No. 3 Florida, his former team, in the BCS Sugar Bowl.

Louisville decided to play ball and have secured not only Strong, but the future of the Cardinals’ football program, who is ranked in the top 10 of both CBS and Sports Illustrated’s Preseason Polls.

Did Louisville make a good move here? Sound off below!
