ESPN 2014 Watch List linebacker Christian Miller commits to Florida Gators
When it comes to the recruiting game, Will Muschamp doesn’t sleep. The Florida Gators head coach just finished tying a bow on one of the top classes in the nation for 2013, but that hasn’t stopped him from already reeling in top recruits for next year’s class.
If you want to compete in the SEC, there really is no other way to live life than on the constant grind.
On Saturday, Kipps Adam of ESPN Recruiting Nation reported that 2014 Watch List linebacker Christian Miller (Columbia, SC) had pledged to the Orange ‘n Blue.
“I committed to the University of Florida,” Miller said. “I put in a lot of thought and I just felt the most comfortable with Florida, and so did my dad. Coach [Brad] Lawing coached my dad at South Carolina, so that worked out really good.”
“I love the campus and the area, and I always liked the thought of living in Florida,” Miller said. “Plus, talking to the coaches and having a chance to work with coach [D.J.] Durkin and Coach Lawing, who I knew from South Carolina, I just felt like it was the best fit for me academically and in terms of football.”
The 6-foot-4, 203 pound defensive specialist is the son of former NFL linebacker Corey Miller, who played his college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Miller, who is ranked as Rivals’ No.90-overall recruit for 2014, is the sixth commitment for the Gators for the class of 2014.
