The entire soap opera surrounding Manti Te’o and his surreal fake girlfriend hoax may finally be losing a bit of steam. There have been so many names and so many different (and divergent) tales that we may never know the full truth as to whether or not the 2012 Heisman Trophy runner-up spent months lying to the entire nation.
All of that being said, plenty of folks around the country are still having fun at the ignorant simpleton’s/pathological liar’s expense.

That includes basketball fans in Cleveland, where on Tuesday night the Cavaliers added a hilarious twist on the standard ‘kiss cam’: Instead of showing couples happily dating, blushing, and giving themselves quick little kisses to the ‘ooohs’ and ‘ahhhhs’ of the crowd, the camera at Quicken Loans Arena panned to men and women who were sitting next to empty seats.
Why?
In order to give those people the chance to kiss their fake girlfriends, because as we’ve all learned, Te’o never got the opportunity to kiss his after she fake died of fake leukemia.
