No. 3 Arizona beats Colorado in OT after buzzer-beater is waved off [Video]
After banking in a spectacular three-point shot for the win in regulation against No. 3 Arizona, Colorado’s Sabatino Chen did not turn out to be the hero of the evening.
Upon video review, the referees claimed Mr. Chen’s fingertips were still touching the ball as the final buzzer sounded, sending the hard-fought game into overtime.
Despite the fantastic effort from the underrated Buffaloes squad, ‘Zona managed to use a furious run at the end of regulation and the three-pointer that never was to force overtime.
Once there, however, the conference big boys flexed some muscle. Kevin Parron scored five of his 16 total points in the extra period.
After falling behind by as many 17 points in the first half, the ‘Cats showed off their championship mettle in making the miraculous comeback — after nearly losing by a mere few fingertips.
