The title just about says it all: ESPN’s SportsNation asked several of the country’s top college football recruits what the craziest thing was that they’ve been offered while visiting various schools.
Some of the answers are pretty standard, and that’s because there is a degree of ‘coach-speak’ to every official and unofficial visit. For example, every coach tells every one of these highly rated guys that they are going to be ‘the face of the program’ or that ‘you’ll have the opportunity to start right away’.
However, a few of the things these elite prospects share provide a glimpse into the crazy and hectic lives these teenagers sometimes lead.
While the free-for-all recruiting days of guys like Barry Switzer at Oklahoma and Jimmy Johnson at Miami may be over, these guys are still being offered girls and cars and all the rest — no wonder it got taken down from ESPN.
Here is a link to the video since ESPN took it down.
