Florida Gators guard Mike Rosario does the chomp (Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports)
Florida guard Mike Rosario balled hard enough to earn himself Florida Gamedayr Player of the Game for the Arizona matchup.
Stat Line:
- 16 points (team high).
- Three assists (tied team high).
- Five out of eight from the field.
- Two out of two from behind the three-point line.
- Four out of four from the free throw line.
- Three rebounds. 33 minutes played.
Why he won:
He had the hustle play of the season tonight with the game hanging in the balance. Rosario went above and beyond the call of duty to retrieve a ball he tipped out-of-bounds. He jumped over the Arizona bench, landing onto the stairs of the bleachers behind it, and leaving him grimacing in pain. The effort alone earns him player of the game recognition, but his overall performance wasn’t half bad either, even in a losing effort.
