Welcome to the offseason circus, Gator Nation. On Sunday morning, Florida CB Loucheiz Purifoy was arrested and charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, according to Thomas Goldkamp of 247Sports.
The arrest is the eighth marijuana-related under head coach Will Muschamp, and it surely won’t be the last.
Purifoy was a passenger in a vehicle which was pulled over by the Gainesville Police Department for violating the right-of-way. As the officers made the stop, one passenger threw a marijuana “cigarette” out of the window. They also found and confiscated “a baggie containing 2.5 grams of cannabis.”
Purifoy’s hearing is scheduled for the morning of Feb. 21.
