Twitter Takedown: Harvard finally throws Madness into 2013 NCAA Tournament with upset of New Mexico

The first day of play needed this one. With what was a relatively boring opening day of the Tournament, 14th-seeded Harvard saved it in the end with a huge upset of 3-seed New Mexico.

The Lobos came into the Tournament as one of the hot picks by nearly everyone in the nation. That wouldn’t stop a determined Crimson team from making the biggest statement thus far.

Harvard took a 31-27 lead into the half, however, in the second half there was a moment when it seemed like the higher-seeded Lobos were going to be able to take control.

That never fully happened, and the little guy from way out West finally won their first game in NCAA Tournament history.
