Jay-nard Bostwick chooses Florida Gators on National Signing Day
Jay-Nard Bostwick, a four-star recruit out of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, has officially committed to his home state Florida Gators.
Coach Will Muschamp has turned around the Gators football program in a mere two-year span, and he has built it to last by bringing in one of the top recruiting classes in the nation in 2013. And that was before Bostwick chose his Orange and Blue hat.
At 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, the No. 286-overall recruit fills a position of need along the UF defensive line. He is known for his brute strength, which he will have the chance to showcase right away. Florida loses starters Sharrif Floyd, an early entry into the NFL Draft, and Omar Hunter, a fifth-year senior to graduation.
Bostwick had only taken official visits to Tuscaloosa, Miami, and Gainesville, but eventually chose the Gators over Al Golden of the Canes and Nick Saban of the Crimson Tide.
He also had offers on the table from Oregon, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Nebraska and several others.
