Chicago Bulls forward/center Joakim Noah literally put together one of the best performances in the history of the NBA on Thursday night. With 23 points, 21 rebounds and 11 blocks, he joined Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O’Neal and Shawn Bradley as the only players to put up a 20 points/20 rebounds/10 blocks stat line in the last 25 years.
Further, none of those guys put up numbers like that while shooting at least 65-percent from the field — thus making Noah the very first person in NBA history to do so. Of course, blocks were not a recorded stat while dominant league figures such as Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell played, but this is a celebration of the high energy All-Star’s unbelievable performance, not a showcase in nitpicking.
Enjoy the former two-time national champion Florida Gator’s superstar evening one more time.
