Johnny Manziel became the first freshman to ever win the Heisman Trophy. Unfortunately, as a young man of only 20, he was supposed to be celebrating his new hardware with some lovely sparkling grape juice instead of the real thing.

However, the dude has been partying so hard since the Aggies’ season ended that Eric Hyman, the Texas A&M athletic director, actually called his parents into his office to talk about Manziel’s partying ways.

Well, luckily for us, that has not stopped Mr. Football from doing what he does best. After spending New Year’s Eve poppin’ bottles of Dom, Manziel was in New Orleans enjoying the Super Bowl weekend festivities.

According to Busted Coverage, the girl on the right is CBS 42 (Birmingham) reporter Alex Corddry ( ‏@ACorddry). One of Birmingham’s finest, with the chance to scold Manziel for beating up on her Crimson Tide, instead cozies up and takes a picture with the underage star.

And this is where all of the fuss will once again come from. That, boys and girls, is a beer, as we are sure none of you ever saw one before you turned 21 years old.

Don’t start calling for punishments just yet. In Louisiana it is legal for minors to drink if their parent or guardian purchases them alcoholic beverages.

For his sake, we’re just going to say that it was his dad on the other side of the phone taking this picture. We don’t judge here at Gamedayr, because 33% (yes, that’s a made up number) of being a Gamedayr involves beer drinking.

Do your thing, Johnny Football, because let’s face it, we’d all be doing the same thing.
