Johnny Manziel leaving for 2014 NFL Draft is not a foregone conclusion [Video]

Johnny Manziel was not allowed to speak with any members of the media until the Aggies’ began preparations for the Cotton Bowl. It was the policy of the Texas A&M athletic department not to have freshmen speak with reporters.
Well, Johnny Football has certainly begun making up for the previous gag order. Earlier, he sat down with ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit and made it sound like him entering the 2014 NFL Draft was already a done deal.
Then, on Wednesday, the first freshman to ever win a Heisman Trophy picked up his cell phone and joined in on the Dan Patrick Show. He talked about how he is extremely communicative with the Ags’ compliance office, the fact that he would probably lose to Jadeveon Clowney in a footrace and — the multi-million dollar question — whether or not this is his last season in College Station.
After taking the subject head on with Herbstreit, Manziel backtracked a bit, leaving the door open for a return, and even the full two more years he is eligible to play at Texas A&M.
