Running the 40-yard dash is one way to find out how fast a player is. Another would be to ask the man who defied football logic in just one year under center, Johnny Manziel, what he thinks about a player’s speed.
Manziel sat down with the Dan Patrick show on Wednesday to discuss his career, among many other things, but one piece that caught our attention was his thoughts on Jadeveon Clowney’s recent 40-yard dash time.
“I don’t know if I could keep up with Jadeveon Clowney.” Johnny Manziel on his 40 time.

Johnny Football, as America has come to know him, ran circles around the very finest SEC defenses last year. One defense that he didn’t get to dissect was Clowney’s Gamecocks, simply because the two teams didn’t play each other.
The two won’t meet on the field in 2013 either, but we are pretty sure Manziel won’t mind keeping it that way, no matter how good the gun-slinger is.
