Kevin Durant throws down two sick dunks vs the Clippers, where’s his offer for the Dunk Contest?

Yes, LeBron James is the superstar who has been pressured to participate in the dunk contest since he first joined the league 10 years ago. Yes, Bron Bron is the one who has been offered $1 million to participate from the one and only Magic Johnson (an offer he is reportedly contemplating).

However, after watching Sunday’s elite performance on the road against the LA Clippers, we got to thinking: Why hasn’t anyone pressured a guy just behind Bron in terms of talent, Kevin Durant, to do the dunk contest?

Is it because he’s so skinny? More likely because of the perception of him simply being affective as a sharpshooter.

Well, yeah, the dude is definitely lights-out from beyond the arc, but take a look at these videos. KD can absolutely fly. On this first dunk, the Clips lose track of Durant, who skies up for a solid windmill, but it was his second dunk that blew peoples’ minds

[Settle It: Should LeBron do the dunk contest or no?]

On the second dunk, Durant nearly could have hit his head on the rim. It would have hurt his head, but my oh my, it would have made for a crazy YouTube clip.

But see, there’s something else. Former winner Blake Griffin threw down a slick dunk of his own, and right after Durant’s first dunk, no less. Why isn’t anyone calling for him to get back into the showcase?

If you haven’t seen LeBron’s pre-game dunks yet, what are you waiting for?
