The battle has been won, and the Alabama Crimson Tide are once against the BCS National Champions, having stomped Notre Dame, 42-14.

But the war is not over.

Nearly as soon as Alabama beat Georgia in the SEC Championship to earn a berth in the BCS title game, both their fans and those of the Irish began printing out trash talkin’ t-shirts.

Notre Dame fans opened up the fight, printing ‘Catholics vs. Cousins‘ shirts for the masses, but Tide faithful responded with a shirt stating how much better it is to be good rather than lucky.

In a metaphorical right hook to the jaw, Notre Dame fans released the ‘Golden Domers vs. Mobile Homers‘.

Way to stay classy, South Bend.

Now that Alabama is officially a sports dynasty, they are free to punch a knock punch, stating that ‘Leprechauns are mysth, but in Alabama, Elephants are legends’.

So true — perhaps the war is over, with Alabama holding the crystal ball in the end.
