On Thursday night, in the Notre Dame basketball house, everybody was stirring, making far more noise than a mouse.
The Fighting Irish had just beaten Kentucky, but the win was not lucky.
Through hard work and determination,
The undefeated football team and the rest of the campus was able to watch their basketball team win.
What do you think of our little poem, Gamedayr Nation? Think it’ll help to spread the holiday cheer?
We sure hope so, because Notre Dame’s nose guard, Louis Nix, was out and about on the South Bend campus, dressed up like the one and only for a children’s charity event.
By now most sports fans have seen the shots of superstar linebacker Manti Te’o celebrating like a freshman and rushing the court following the upset win over the defending national champions. The win put a smile on the faces of thousands, including Te’o, who has the Irish faithful feeling pretty good about themselves as well, primed for their shot at the BCS National Championship as they are.
Nobody saw Nix on Thursday night, however.
Santa was busy putting smiles on the faces of just a few children who needed it most.
In the process, however, he was the only member of the football team to miss the basketball game.
Somehow, after seeing this picture, one assumes Nix was ok with that.
