So, here’s the thing: Mark Ingram became the first player in the long and illustrious history to win the Heisman Trophy for Alabama after he piled up 1,658 yards and 17 scores as a sophomore in 2009.

He spent one more year in Tuscaloosa (he had to spend the minimum three years out of high school) before declaring for the NFL Draft in 2011.

He was drafted at No. 28-overall by the New Orleans Saints, signing a four year contract, with three years guaranteed and a fifth year option. The contract is worth $7.41 million, with a $3.89 million signing bonus — meaning he was literally given almost four million bones just for signing his name on a piece of paper.

Since he signed that contract however, the man who was expected to be a bruiser has proven quite fragile instead. He has never broken the 100-yard barrier in his two seasons in Nola, and he missed time with a heel injury in 2011.

But don’t tell him any of that, because you can say whatever you want — he ain’t broke!

And he changed his number, if you were wondering.
