In a voting contest reminiscent of the 2000 Presidential Election, which will always be remembered for the vote count debacle in the State of Florida, EA Sports has finally chosen a winner for the cover of NCAA ’14: Michigan’s Denard Robinson.
It had been reported that fans were creating fake Facebook accounts in order to skew votes, but through all the chaos, Robinson outlasted star Texas A&M wide receiver Ryan Swope.
Robinson becomes the third Michigan player to grace the cover of the iconic game, joining Desmond Howard (’99) and Charles Woodson (’06).
“I want to say thank you to all the fans at Michigan for getting behind me,” said Robinson. “It’s an honor to go to Michigan, and for us to be on the cover of NCAA Football.”
Big congratulations to Robinson and Go Blue!
