Mike Vrabel was one of the NFL’s most intense linebackers while winning three Super Bowls with coach Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots.
The dude spent 14 years in the League, but apparently it looks like his body slowed down a step before his aggression and love for the game finally let up.
Now an assistant coach with Ohio State, his alma mater, Vrabel apparently got so worked up prior to the Buckeye’s season finale against Michigan that he headbutted one of his players.
Definitely a move usually reserved for guys contractually obligated to do so for the WWE. However, even those guys might have some reservations about slamming their faces into someone wearing a football helmet.
Not Vrabel.
Vrabel’s wife tweeted this picture of her husband’s face after he slammed his forehead into a player while that player had his helmet on.
Ouch.
Apparently, Vrabel’s wife does not know how many stitches were needed to mend this little fleshwound, but Vrabel told her that the cut went all the way to the bone.
No, seriously, ouch; that looks like it really hurts.
