No. 1 center Dakari Johnson commits to Kentucky Wildcats, class of 2013 marks historic haul
The rich just keep getting richer. On Sunday, the nation’s No. 1 center for the class of 2013 committed to coach John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats.
If you want to know just how rich Calipari and Big Blue Nation are, just take a look down the list of committed players for 2013 (position rank/overall rank according to ESPN):
- Andrew Harris, Point Guard: No. 1/No.3
- Aaron Harrison, Shooting Guard: No. 1/No. 5
- James Young, Shooting Guard: No. 2/ No. 6
- Dakari Johnson, Center: No. 1/No. 12
- Marcus Lee, Power Forward: No. 11/No. 30
- Derek Willis
If you are counting, that’s four players in the top 12 and five in the top 30. Calipari’s 2013 recruiting hall is a complete starting lineup of the top players in the country.
Calipari has recruited the No. 1 class in the country three times at Kentucky (2009, 2010 and 2011) and in 2012 he brought in the nation’s second ranked class.
Welcome to Big Blue Nation, Dakari!
