Officials at The Ohio State University just embarrassed the heck out of the student body and the alumni and anyone and everyone ever associated with The Ohio State University in any way, shape, or form.

See how easy it is to make fun of you for slipping up after spending years calling yourselves The Ohio State University?

Maybe next time, if you don’t want to cause such backlash (even from the most loyal among you, although that is certainly not us) try to use a computer program a little more advanced than Microsoft Paint to spearhead your multi-million dollar re-branding efforts.

Or whatever. It’s funnier for everybody this way.

This is actually the new Ohio State logo.

Seemingly without so much as a press release, OSU unleashed upon the world this “improvement” upon their old logo, seen below.

Basically, someone just took the old one, filled in the slick outlines, and made the whole thing 10 shades of red lighter — like something one might have seen in a 1980s video game. Keep reading, the upset tweets are hilarious.
