Honestly, to think all this time we thought bringing silly ole’ crystal balls back to campus was a big deal. Well, it is (put down the pitchforks, Bama Nation), but a member of the closely-knit tribe that is the SEC put together something far more substantial recently.
Dr. Hannah Gay, a pediatrician at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and an Ole Miss alumna, has literally cured AIDS in a child patient.
So, yeah, that’s a pretty big deal.
Congratulations to absolutely everyone involved on this ground-breaking work that may literally change the lives of millions upon millions of people around the globe and for the next few centuries.
