Ole Miss coach on Marshall Henderson: ‘It’s like watching NASCAR, waiting for the wreck’
If you haven’t heard of Marshall Henderson yet, you had better strap on your seat belt. March Madness is here, which means Marshall Madness approaches in full force.
The SEC’s leading scorer ran through the conference tournament, knocking off the mighty Gators in the final to earn the league’s automatic bid.
His Ole Miss Rebels were granted a 12th seed, but even more importantly, Henderson was granted a chance to show off his bizarre style to the nation.
Henderson is a firecracker that Ole Miss fans love and everyone else loves to hate.
During a press conference on Thursday, players and coaches were bombarded with questions on “Slim Shady.”
“I hope he’s a nut case for the rest of his life because it helps him …,” teammate Nick Williams said. “He’s a nut case, man. But he’s our nut case. We love him.”
“I think sometimes a lot of the other stuff takes away from the fact that he’s a very, very good basketball player …,” coach Andy Kennedy said. “It’s like watching NASCAR, waiting for the wreck.”
The wreck that Kennedy is referring to is set to run laps around the NCAA Tournament at full speed. As we said before, Gamedayr Nation, you better buckle up your seat belts and enjoy the ride.
It’s Marshall Henderson time.
