oregon ball gets stuck in glove 2013

Oregon pitcher Jeff Gold made a nifty play in snagging a line drive hit right back at him. In and of itself, again, the play was ‘nifty’.

However, it’s what Gold pulled off after that got him on here.

The ball got stuck in his glove, and instead of simply holding the glove and shrugging his shoulders, Gold tossed the entire thing over to first base. Of course, and of all the luck, it popped out mid-air, forcing the first baseman to make a pretty slick play himself.

Cue the ‘that play was gold’ joke reel at any time.
