NFL expert Peter King of Sports Illustrated makes his pick for Super Bowl XLVII
The 2013 Super Bowl boasts all of the standard headlines we have come to expect out of the national event, and with plenty of juicy material to spare.
For the first time in the history of the game, two brothers will square off as head coaches on Super Sunday. Where will their parents be watching from (they haven’t decided yet)? Will Jim and John Harbaugh speak to each other in the two weeks leading up to their epic showdown (they’ve already said there will be texting but no phone calls made)?
Who will win?
Obviously, the answer to that question is one that will only be determined on the playing field — but that doesn’t mean we can’t peek into our crystal balls in order to glean some sort of educated guess.
Or, of course, we could just ask a camel to make the prediction for us.
But perhaps, just for a moment, we should leave it to an expert. Sports Illustrated’s Peter King made his prediction for the game , and he is going with the elder of the two Harbaugh brothers.
King has picked John’s Ravens to upend brother Jim’s 49ers, 27-23.
What do you think of that pick, Gamedayr Nation?
Are you prepared to count out San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, like Atlanta’s fans did when they built a statue of him getting a giant wedgie?
Granted, Kaepernick is going to have to deal with Ray Lewis in his very last game in the NFL. Over 17 years, very few signal callers have come out of that battle unscathed.
