The Florida Gators basketball team took care of business over the last week, pounding both Georgia and Mississippi State. Florida is currently riding an eight game winning-streak, and is one of the hottest teams in the country, partly on the fantastic play from guard Scottie Wilbekin.
For his efforts this past week, Wilbekin was named the SEC Player of the Week. He averaged 15 points, six assists and two rebounds against the set of Bulldogs.
Against Georgia, he was an efficient 7-for-9 from the field, tallying a team high 17 points. Later in the week, against Mississipi State, he recorded 13 points and nine assists.
For the season, the junior is averaging 9.1 points, 5.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game.
Congratulations Scottie, from the Gator Nation!
