Florida Gators’ starting point guard Scottie Wilbekin will not play in tomorrow’s game against Georgetown after being suspended by the team indefinitely. Coach Billy Donovan did not disclose why the first-year starter was suspended, saying only, “Scottie is a good kid who made some choices and did some things that I’m not going to have him a part of.”
It is unknown when Wilbekin will return, but the loss undoubtedly hurts the team chemistry, as they will also be without sophomore guard/forward Casey Prather for tomorrow’s game. Prather suffered a second concussion in nine days, and will sit out for precautionary safety reasons.
The Gators next game is Sunday at 3:30pm, at home against Alabama State.
