The SEC announced it’s top players for week three of the college football season.

SEC Offensive Player of the Week: Florida Quarterback Jeff Driskel

Florida sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel was named the offensive player of week after leading the Gators to 37-20 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers. Driskel threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns and had 38 yards rushing, which led to a 555-yard explosion from the Florida offense.

SEC Defensive Player of the Week: Missouri Strong Safety Kenronte Walker

Missouri senior strong safety was named the defensive player of week after helping the Tigers defeat Arizona State, 24-20. On the surface, his stat line is not that impressive, as he had only two tackles total. However, it was when he made the plays that helped secure the victory for Missouri. He made two plays that secured the game for the Tigers on different drives late in the 4th-quarter. On a 4th and goal he deflected a pass that almost assuredly would have been a touchdown and give Arizona State the lead. Then, to finally seal the game for the Tigers, Walker intercepted a pass securing the victory with a little under two minutes left in the game.

SEC Special Teams Player of the Week: Auburn Kicker Cody Parkey

Aurburn junior kicker Cody Parkey was named the special teams player of the week simply because he won the game on one of the most tense plays in football, the game winning field goal. In overtime, Louisiana-Monroe got the ball, but failed to make the field goal that would have give the Warhawks the lead. On the ensuing possession, Parkey dialed up a 35-yard field goal and nailed it, sending the Auburn fans home happy.

SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week: Alabama Guard Chance Warmack

Alabama senior guard Chance Warmack and the entire Alabama offensive line were fantastic against Arkansas. Warmack allowed no sacks or quarterback pressure and no penalties in the 52-0 win over the Razorbacks. The Alabama offense had 438 yards in the game.

SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week: South Carolina Defensive End Jadeveon Clowney

South Carolina sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and the entire South Carolina defense were suffocating in the 49-6 win over UAB. Clowney had six tackles and two sacks in the win.

SEC Freshman of the Week: Texas A&M Quarterback Johnny Manziel

The freshman quarterback played great in the 48-3 win over SMU. Manziel dominated in the passing and running game, throwing for 294 yards and four touchdowns, as well as running for 124 yards and two scores. Manziel had 412 yards of offense and six total touchdowns in the game.
