On Saturday, one of the greatest baseball players in the history of the game, Stan Musial, passed away at the age of 92.
His importance and effect on the St. Louis community was not lost on dozens of fans who made their way to the baseball stadium where this has been not one, but two statues erected in his honor.
Cardinals fans paid their respects to The Man by laying out wreaths, flowers and simply spending some time near the statue of the man who was easily the greatest to ever done a St. Louis jersey.
Musial played for the Cardinals for 22 years, making 24 All-Star games (they played two annually for a few years back in the day) and amassing 3,630 hits while leading the team to three World Series titles.
