The Stanford marching band members are notorious for marching to their own beat (get it?!), and the football team’s Rose Bowl berth and victory provided the perfect platform for banging the drum of social awareness and eventual change.

That’s how we’ll explain this marching band member’s dazed look, funky hair and, of course, t-shirt.

Maybe the dude was just straight up chillin’, not intending to make any sort of political statement at all, but rather simply spaced on his Cardinal gear when he made his Funyuns’ run.

Bob Marley certainly sported a different haircut, the the godfather of reggae would be proud — wonder what the Stanford school board is thinking right about now?
