Texas will honor Longhorn legendary coach Darrell K Royal by wearing a DKR logo on their helmets for Saturday’s game.
Royal was head coach of the Longhorns for over 20 years and led the team to three national championship (’63,’69,’70). Royal passed away at the age of 88 on Wednesday Nov. 7 after a long battle with Alzheimers.
Texas head coach Mack Brown will also honor Royal during the first drive of Saturday’s game by lining up in the wishbone.
