Check out this historic program from the 1956 Texas vs West Virginia game.
The program features Longhorns great Walter Fondren. Fondren played both offense and defense and still holds the record for most minutes played in a season. In 1956 he received the ”George `Hook’ McCullough Football Outstanding Player” award. He was inducted into the the University of Texas Hall of Honor in 1983.
For the record, the Longhorns lost this game 7-6.
