No. 2 Indiana pulled off a thrilling victory over No. 7 Michigan on the road on Sunday, but it was the post-game antics of Hoosiers’ coach Tom Crean that once again stole the headlines.

Crean has become one of the most vilified coaches in America for his actions both on and off the court. He has been hammered by media and fans claiming that he calls for his players to flop — a lot — and it’s hard to argue against that if you turn on an Indiana game.

On Sunday, following the 72-71 Indiana win, it was more of the same as Crean reportedly got into it with Michigan assistant coaches, according to Yahoo Sports Dan Wetzel.

And the best reaction tweet goes too…

And we just had to pull a runner-up…

And a few more reactions from the Twitter-verse…

If you’ve got hate in your heart, let it out…

Next up for Crean and Indiana is the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments. It’ll be fun to watch Crean’s reactions when everything is on the line.

*Update* Video and Back Story

Here’s the video (via Deadspin) in which Crean appears to be yelling at Michigan assistant Jeff Meyer. Meyer was a member of Kelvin Sampson’s staff at Indiana during a downswing in the Hoosiers basketball program. It seems that Crean tracked down Meyer and said ”you know what you did…you held up the program,” before being restrained.

I think you are missing what vilified means. His statements make him a target for the press. I would say most people in the press are not a fan of Crean. I think he’s a good coach, but needs a little work on his press conference etiquette.

Crean is a low life who will do anything to win. Some one should tell him that college athletics should be about sportsman ship, not about dirty play such as having Zeller take Nix’s hand and hit himself in the nuts then have sheahy fake being hit by a elbow. This man makes Bobby Knight look like a saint.

Nix flicked his wrist to hit zeller in the junk, it’s very clear in the video. It’s game play “hard ball”-no pun, so quite honestly I don’t blame either player.

“Most vilified coach in america”. Posting IU hater twitter feeds-cheap “journalism”. What absolute b.s. IU fans love Crean and not just because he’s pulled the program from the ashes to where it is now but also because he’s very appreciative of the fans. His players love him too. You obviously hate IU. Big Ten champs!!!

Why don’t you ask Crean who is laughing now. He can take his Big 10 regular season trophy…we’ll take the National Championship Trophy instead
