Comedian for 2012 Gator Growl announced
Tracy Morgan, come on down! Early Thursday morning, Gator Growl announced that the 30 Rock star would be joining country singer Josh Turner as a headlining act for this year’s homecoming festivities.
If you aren’t familiar with Morgan, he is style is edgy, to say the least. For a university that tries to stay as vanilla as possible, think Sugar Ray (yes, I still remember that Growl, and it was terrible), this is a step up in their game and should excite the student body.
Following is a bio from Gator Growl’s website, for more information visit GatorGrowl.com:
Currently starring on NBC’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning “30 Rock,” Morgan appears opposite Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin as “Tracy Jordan,” the unpredictable star of Lemon’s (Fey) hit variety show, “TGS with Tracy Jordan.” In 2009 Morgan received his first Emmy Nomination for this role, in the Supporting Actor category; he has in five past years also been nominated for a Supporting Actor NAACP Image Award. The “30 Rock” cast has also won the Screen Actors Guild Award for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.”
Here is a video of Morgan on CONAN (“Obama’s A Gangbanger Who Needs A Tattoo”).
