Tommy Tuberville pulls a Tuberville, leaves three recruits at dinner to take Cincinnati job

Would you expect anything less from the Tubs (we will just go ahead and coin him that)? This is the same guy that ripped the headset off an assistant during the Kansas game this year.

According to 247 Sports, Tuberville had quite the recruiting dinner Friday night. While hosting three prospects at The 50 Yard Line Steakhouse, a local Lubbock restaurant, Tuberville left the three high school kids at the table to accept the Cincinnati job and never returned.

Go figure.

Devonte Danzey of Hutchinson (Kansas) C.C., who was one of the players at dinner, had the following to say on Tuberville’s departure:

“The waitress brought our food out, and we thought (Tuberville) went to the bathroom, but he never came back to dinner. Then next thing I know, the next day, he made an announcement that he’s going to Cincinnati.”

Tubs, who was scheduled to show the recruits on a tour the next morning but was a no-show, was off to Cincy like he had never even touched down in Lubbock.

Unfortunately for Tuberville, this story could haunt him for the rest of his recruiting days. Enjoy your new man, Bearcats.
